Sunoco Inc. is being acquired for $5.3 billion by a Texas pipeline company, Energy Transfer Partners of Dallas. Sunoco will maintain it's headquarters in Philadelphia after the merger, but will still be exiting the refinery business in this area as planned.

One of the Temple University students whose home was invaded and robbed last night by three masked men has been arrested. He was the victim but now he is in custody on drug possession charges because of what police found in his house during their investigation. The police did capture one of the invaders, a few blocks away, the other two are at large.

Police said a construction worker fell from scaffolding at a construction site in the city’s Fairmount section this afternoon and was pronounced dead at around 1:45 p.m. The Hispanic male worker, 30, came in contact with a live wire while working on the third floor of a building under construction and fell to the ground, the exact cause of death was under investigation.

In Sports, Flyers and Sixers both continue the playoffs tomorrow with Game 2.

Tonight cloudy early with showers starting later this evening, temperatures will be in the upper 50's for most of the evening.
