Man Charged in Upper Darby Spree; Man Shot in Rt. 1 Road Rage Incident; Two Men Found in Stairwell

A man has been charged after killing his girlfriend and going on a shooting spree near the 69th Street Transportation Center in Upper Darby early Thursday morning, 12/2. 45-year-old David Savage is charged with murder, four counts of attempted murder, and four counts of aggravated assault. It started just before 4 a.m. on the 7000 block of Terminal Square. Savage shot his girlfriend, Latoya Gary, in the head inside their apartment. He then went outside and starting shooting. He struck one passerby in the shoulder. Savage then exchanged fire with SEPTA police officers. No one was hit. He was eventually taken into custody. He is being held without bail.

A man was shot and killed on Thursday evening, 12/2, in an apparent road road rage incident after a fender bender on the Roosevelt Boulevard Extension in Philadelphia. It happened around 6:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes near Henry Street. 21-year-old Eddie Rodriguez was a passenger in his brother's Acura when they were struck from behind by another vehicle. The brothers pulled over to exchange information. That's when the striking vehicle pulled up beside them and fired two shots before driving off. Rodriguez was struck by the gunfire. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other car had four passengers all wearing masks. It was described as a dark-colored vehicle. Two men were found shot to death in an apartment building in the city's Tacony section early Friday morning, 12/3. It happened after 4:30 a.m. on the 4000 block of Passmore Street near Charles Street. The two bodies were discovered in a stairwell leading to the basement. Police say they appear to be n their 20s - 30s. They were each shot multiple times. Medics pronounced them dead at the scene. Their identities are not yet known. Events leading up to the shootings are being investigated.
