Philadelphia Police have released surveillance footage of an attack on a delivery driver by several teenagers in the Queen Village neighborhood last week. It happened around 10:18 p.m. on Tuesday, 8/17, on the 300 block of Christian Street. 38-year-old Zach Lean was making a stop when he was attacked by a group of about 8 teenagers on bikes. He fell to the ground and hit his head on the sidewalk causing him to have a seizure. Lean was transported to Jefferson University Hospital where he has been in critical condition a coma. One of the teenagers, 19-year-old Herbert Morrison, has turned himself in to police. Authorities continue to search for the others involved.

A New Jersey woman has been arrested after she recanted her story about being assaulted by a man impersonating a police officer. Samantha Roman of Haddonfield is charged with making false statements. The supposed incident happened on Monday afternoon, 8/16, on Route 38 in Cherry Hill. Roman told police that she was pulled over by a white van with red and blue lights. A man wearing a shirt with POLICE across the front walked up to the driver's side window, reached in, and grabbed her neck. She said she was able to drive away. Police were able to find a white van in the area at the time on surveillance footage. However, it was a federal corrections vehicle that was transporting prisoners at the time. Roman now says she was never pulled over and never had contact with an impersonator. Two other reports of police impersonations in the northern part of the state in early August are still being investigated.

New Jersey's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst will house Afghan refugees at some point. It is not known when or how many, but the base has the facilities to provide housing and medical support. C-17 crews stationed at the base have already been apart of the airbridge operation in Kabul, airlifting thousands of evacuees to third countries for screening and processing. NJ Governor Phil Murphy sent a letter to President Biden over the weekend saying that the Garden State is willing to accept refugees.
