A passenger on a Frontier Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Miami had to be restrained and duct-taped to his seat after causing a scene, assaulting a male flight attendant, and groping female attendants. 22-year-old Maxwell Berry of Norwalk, OH, was arrested by the Miami-Dade Police Department upon landing and charged with three counts of battery. Berry was served two alcoholic drinks. He inappropriately brushed his empty cup on the backside of a female flight attendant when ordering a third. He spilled that drink on himself. He came out of the bathroom without his shirt and the flight attendant helped him find a clean one in his over head luggage. Berry proceeded to walk around the plane for 15 minutes and then allegedly groped the breasts of a second female attendant. A male attendant approached him and try to tell him to calm down and sit in his seat. Berry proceeded to punched the male in the face. A fight ensued. Passengers helped the male attendant restrain Berry and tape him into his seat. They also tied him up with a seat belt extender for the remainer of the flight.

Initially, Frontier Airlines said the flight attendants involved did not follow proper procedure to restrain a passenger and would be "relieved of flying pending completion of an investigation." The airline is now more supportive of the crew. "Frontier Airlines maintains the utmost value, respect, concern and support for all of our flight attendants, including those who were assaulted on this flight," spokeswoman Jennifer de la Cruz said in a statement. "We are supporting the needs of these team members and are working with law enforcement to fully support the prosecution of the passenger involved." There has been an uptick in reports of unruly passengers on airplanes.

A man was shot and killed during a robbery outside a sports bar/gentleman's club in South Philadelphia on Tuesday night, 8/3. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club on the 2700 block of S. Front Street. A 28-year-old man was heading to a car when he was approached by two men. They attempted to go through his pockets and rob him. A struggle ensued and the man was shot in the chest. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made and no weapons were found. If you have information, call police at 215-686-TIPS.

Montgomery County authorities are investigating a fatal police-involved shooting in Conshohocken on Tuesday night, 8/3. It happened around 11:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Gardens apartments on the 1300 block of Fayette Street. Plymouth Township police officers were dispatched to the apartment complex after reports of an armed subject. They arrived to find the 22-year-old suspect outside armed with a handgun and a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She has been identified as the man's mother. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele said in a statement, "The male subject did not comply with officer commands and was shot when he pointed the handgun at officers." Officers immediately rendered aid. The man was taken to Suburban Community Hospital where he died at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday, 8/4. His mother was also transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. Montgomery County Detectives are investigating the shooting per protocol.
