The Philadelphia School District is making major budget cuts. Forty schools will be closed by next year. The cuts are part of a 5 year plan to save money and eliminate the underperforming schools.

Two New Jersey State Troopers have been suspended for participating in Death Races on the Garden State Parkway. Owners of expensive sports cars cover their license plates and race on the public roadway. The veteran Troopers, Nadir Nassry and Joseph Ventrella allegedly lead the racers down the Parkway on March 30th.

Today is primary day and the big battle is between Democratic Attorney General candidates Patrick Murphy and Kathleen Kane who have spent 5 million dollars slinging mud at each other in TV commercials.
