The Philadelphia Folksong Society has announced dates for this year's annual Philadelphia Folk Festival for August 21-22. They are calling this summer's event a POCKET SIZED festival and giving it the number 59 1/2. There will be both in-person and digital options. It will be held at Spring Mountain Ski Area, nearby the Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township. Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 28 at 10 a.m. (POD and general admission seating). No other details have been given at this time.

UPDATE: More Details now available here.

This year would have been the big 60th Anniversary show. The Folk Fest is also usually a four day event. The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic is surely the reason for a truncated in-person festival this year. Last year, Philadelphia Folksong Society was able to pivot and put on the show entirely on a digital stage for everyone to watch at home.
