A New Jersey man who led authorities on a cross country manhunt between New Mexico and New Jersey last week for a handful of murders, claimed at a preliminary hearing on Friday, 3/19, that he has killed a total of 16 people. 47-year-old Sean Lannon was arrested in St. Louis, MO, last Wednesday, 3/9, by U.S. Marshals. He was appearing in court in South Jersey for the March 8 murder of 66-year-old Michael Dabkowski in East Greenwich, New Jersey. Lannon is also accused of the murder of 4 people found dead in Albuquerque, New Mexico earlier this month including his ex-wife. Lannon admitted to killing 11 other people in court today. Those murders apparently happened in New Mexico and were drug dealers, according to Lannon. His claims have not been verified.

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested for shooting and killing his 12-year-old sister inside their Montgomery County home on Friday morning, 3/19. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele says that 12-year-old Jasiyah Vasquez was shot and killed by her brother 13-year-old Jah'sir Vasquez. Jah'sir is being charged as an adult with third degree murder. Officers responded just before 8 a.m. to reports of a shooting at a townhouse on Larchwood Court in the Perkiomen Woods community in Upper Providence near Collegeville. Jasiyah was found in the living room suffering from a single gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A weapon was recovered. The shooting was captured on camera.

"We followed the evidence in this case, which clearly showed that the 13-year-old shot and killed his sister. Despite the child's age, Pennsylvania law requires that we charge Jah'sir Vasquez in adult criminal court for the shooting death of his sister," Steele said in a statement. The children's mother, Daisy Vasquez, had asked Jah'sir to bring her 9mm handgun in from her car. The boy entered "the house with the handgun in his right hand and then pointing it at Jasiyah. Seconds later, while Jah'sir had the gun pointed in his sister's direction, it discharged, and Jasiyah collapsed." Jah'sir was arraigned in Magisterial District Court. He was denied bail and ordered held at Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said on Friday, 3/19, that the forest fire in Lakewood and Brick Township last weekend was intentionally set and that investigators located the origin. They did not release any details about where it started or how it was set. The fire began on Sunday afternoon, 3/14. It burned around 167 acres and damaged 29 buildings. A firefighter suffered cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital. "This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and anyone with knowledge of information concerning this fire is urged to contact Sergeant Thomas Haskell of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office at 732-929-2027, extension 3953," Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a statement.
