The mother of a Bucks County teen girl is accused of creating and sending deepfake videos and photos of other girls on her daughter's cheerleading team in an effort to have them kicked off the squad. 50-year-old Raffaela Spone is charged with multiple counts of cyber harassment of a child and harassment. Spone allegedly took images of the three girls from their social media accounts and manipulated them to seem like they were naked, drinking, and smoking/vaping. She then sent the photos and videos to the coaches at Victory Vipers in Chalfont. The teens also report that they received messages from an anonymous number with the images and harassing text saying 'you have no friends' or 'you should kill yourself.' They went to police. "The suspect is alleged to have taken a real picture and edited it through some photoshopping app to make it look like this teenaged girl had no clothes on to appear nude. When in reality that picture was a screengrab from the teenager's social media in which she had a bathing suit on," said Bucks County DA Matt Weintraub. Spone denies the allegations.

Gusty winds and dry conditions fueled a large brush fire in Ocean County, NJ on Sunday, 3/14. The fire started in Lakewood around 1 p.m. and spread into Brick Township. Over 100 residents were evacuated and several homes and businesses suffered damage. Many roads including the Garden State Parkway were shutdown for a time. A part-time firefighter with the New Jersey Firefighter Service suffered a "cardiac incident" and was taken to the hospital. They are in stable condition. Over 160 acres have burned. It is about 50% contained. Crews will continue working to put down hot spots. The National Weather Service had issued a red flag warning from from 8 a.m. Sunday to 5 p.m. Monday for the greater chance of fire.

UPDATE: The fire has burned over 170 acres. It damaged 29 homes and buildings, 3 are uninhabitable. The origin of the fire has been identified, but the cause is still under investigation. Fire officials did not reveal any details.

The Delaware County Juvenile Justice Center in Lima was ordered emptied by a judge on Friday, 3/12, after a letter from public defenders warned the county about physical, psychological, and sexual abuse of the juveniles at the hands of staff. There were 4 minors being held at the facility. Accusations included forcing a child to drink from a toilet and slamming a teen's head into a window so hard it broke. Juveniles were also subjected to threats. An investigation has been launched.
