Playland's Castaway Cove in Ocean City, New Jersey, will reopen on March 27 after suffering a devastating fire at the boardwalk amusement park only a few weeks ago. Fire broke out on the morning of January 30. It destroyed a building that housed Playland's offices and arcade as well as the Hamburger Construction Company restaurant, and Dairy Queen. The blaze did not damage any rides or outdoor areas. The cause of the fire was traced to an undetermined electrical source near the front of the building and it was ruled accidental. No one was injured.
