A delivery driver's family is safe after a suspect took off in his vehicle while the family was still inside. The suspect was taken into custody after leading police on a chase after stealing a second car. It happen around 8:40 p.m. at Broad Street and Erie Avenue in North Philadelphia. A delivery driver for City View Pizza was making a delivery. His 25-year-old wife and 4-year-old and 2-year-old daughters were in the car when the suspect got inside and took off. The family was found in the vehicle at 21st and Spring Garden Street around 10:30 p.m. The suspect then stole a second vehicle, a gray 2014 Toyota Scion. He led police on a chase the the streets. He was eventually caught near Franklin Square Park.

UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Marcel Jenkins. He is facing kidnapping, carjacking, and related charges.

Delaware County District Attorney District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer announced on Friday night, 2/19, that a 15-year-old has been charged in the fatal double shooting of two men inside their vehicle in Chester earlier this month. The juvenile's identity has not been released. It happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 at West 3rd and Lamokin Streets. 20-year-old Rasheen Jones and 19-year-old Kwann Henderson, both of Philadelphia, were inside a silver Chevrolet Impala outside a convenience store. Surveillance video shows the suspect and another male leave the store. The suspect approached the driver's side door for several minutes before pulling out a gun and firing. He fled on foot. The victims tried to drive away but crashed into a building on the 1100 block of West 3rd Street. Jones, an aspiring rapper known as RunUp Rico, was pronounced dead at the scene. Henderson died later at the hospital.

"This was a cold-blooded double murder by a young person who was - at the time of the murder - only 14 years old," Stollsteimer said. "His victims were only 19 and 20. This epitomizes the truly senseless violence that exists on our streets today. I must commend the hard work of the law enforcement officers involved with this case; however, as proud as I am of their work, my heart breaks for the families of the victims - and the entire Chester community. This is a tragedy on all fronts."

There is now a $20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible in a deadly hit-and-run in Northeast Philadelphia from November 2020. 61-year-old Saixiang Lin was out for a walk in the Castor Gardens neighborhood early one morning when she was struck and killed. The driver did not stop. Police say the vehicle is a 2005 to 2009 Chevrolet Uplander minivan. Surveillance video caught the vehicle parking nearby. The driver got out and walked away. He came back 20 minutes later and drove away. If you have any information, contact police.
