There is a GoFundMe fundraiser for the family of the two young children seriously injured in a possible DUI crash involving Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Briit Reid, son of head Coach Andy Reid. It happened on the southbound ramp to Interstate 435 from Stadium Drive near Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Thursday night, 2/4. The younger Reid was allegedly driving a Dodge Ram when he struck a Chevy Impala that had run out of gas on the ramp and then rammed into the back of a Chevrolet Traverse that had come to render assistance. A 5-year-old girl sitting in the back of the Traverse suffered life-threatening injuries. A 4-year-old in the car was also injured in the crash. According to the GoFundMe page, 5-year-old Ariel is still in critical condition at the hospital and "is not awake." Britt Reid was also injured and did not travel to the Super Bowl. He admitted to having "two or three drinks" and taking prescription Adderall. He is now under investigation for driving under the influence.

Coach Andy Reid to reporters, "My heart goes out to all those that were involved in the accident, in particular the little girl who is fighting for her life," Andy Reid said. "I can't comment any more than what I am here, so the questions that you have, I'm going to have to turn those down at this time. But just from a human standpoint, man, my heart bleeds for everyone involved in that."

Penn State THON 2021 will be held virtually this year due to the ongoing coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. It was decided last summer that the 44th annual Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon would take place online via livestream. This year's event will take place from Friday, February 19 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, February 21 at 4 p.m. Usually, hundreds of dancers fill the floor of the Bryce Jordan Center for the 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon. The stands are also filled with thousands more supporters and spectators. This year, everyone is being asked to participate at home, including the dancers. Also different this year, dancers will be given "designated rest hours" from Midnight to 6 a.m. because they won't have access to the same EMS and medical support they usually have at THON. The broadcast from the BJC will be done with only essential personnel. There will still be bands, line dances, national acts, speakers, pep rally, special events, and lots of music.
