Bruce Springsteen to Play Citizen's Bank Park Labor Day Weekend; Not Revel in Atlantic City

Bruce Springsteen has added a few more North American shows to his "Wrecking Ball" tour for this fall. This includes a September 2nd date at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend.

He'll also be playing in Boston, Washington, DC, Chicago, and East Rutherford, NJ.

Bruce Springsteen Tour Dates

However, Springsteen is NOT going to be playing in Atlantic City. Specifically at Revel Casino. You may remember last month, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie called out Springsteen and pleaded that he come to the casino and play a Labor Day concert.

Christie is an avid Springsteen fan, claiming to have seen the band in concert approximately 126 times. Revel Casino, which opened for an 8 week preview starting April 2nd, was partially built by taxpayer money and had large support from Christie. The Governor appealed to Springsteen's New Jersey roots and support for the working man.

Springsteen did not respond to the Governor's surprise request, and with these tour date announcements, he already has Labor Day plans right here in Philly.

Revel will fully open May 25th. Beyonce will headline 3 concerts over Memorial Day Weekend to officially open the casino.
