A FedEx delivery driver was critically injured after being shot in Philadelphia on Tuesday, 10/20. It happened just before Noon on the 800 block of South 3rd Street near Christian Street in Queen Village. The driver, approximately 30-years-old, was shot in the chest and the leg. He was taken to Jefferson Hospital in critical condition. Police have taken one person into custody. No gun has been recovered. The investigation is ongoing.

"We are aware of the terrible incident involving a team member in Philadelphia this afternoon, and our thoughts are with him during this time," the FedEx said in a statement. "There is no higher priority for FedEx Ground than the safety of our team members. We are cooperating fully with the authorities as they conduct their investigation."

Philadelphia Police arrested four people after a car jacking in Hunting Park on Monday night, 10/19. It happened around 10 p.m. near E and Indiana streets. Police were able track the vehicle using OnStar. They pulled over the stolen car near St. Christopher's Hospital. The occupants took off on foot, but police ran them down. Three men and one woman were arrested and charged. Two BB guns were recovered from the car, supposedly used in the armed robbery. No one was injured.

A man was shot and killed on Tuesday morning, 10/20, in a reversal of fortune while attempting to rob someone at gunpoint. It happened just before 10 a.m. on the 2600 block of North Napa Street in Strawberry Mansion. The 31-year-old robber tried to hold up a person at gunpoint. The would-be victim pulled out his own gun and shot the would-be robber in the chest. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter was taken to the homicide division for questioning. There is no word on if any charges will be filed.

UPDATE: The 31-year-old robber has been identified as a sex worker. The robbery victim and shooter has been identified as an employee of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. He is a gun violence counselor for the Immediate Response Team. The case is now being investigated by the state attorney general's office.
