Rick Santorum suspended his presidential campaign today. He announced his decision at a news conference in Gettysburg. This move all but ensures that Mitt Romney will win the Republican nomination for President. Santorum spent the weekend with his 3-year-old daughter, who was hospitalized for the second time during his campaign. She suffer from a rare genetic disorder calls Trisomy-18. The Former Pennsylvania Senator vowed not to give up the fight to beat Obama, despite not being in the race himself anymore.

Attorneys for George Zimmerman, the Florida neighborhood watch volunteer who shot teenager Trayvon Martin, have withdrawn from the case as his counsel. They say they have not heard from Zimmerman since Sunday, and also that against their advice, Zimmerman contacted the special prosecutor who will decide whether or not to press charges. Martin was unarmed at the time, Zimmerman claims he acted in self-defense and has not been arrested or charged.

Two public school teachers and a school administrator from MD have claimed their share of the record Mega Millions jackpot from last month. The Maryland winners claimed their proceeds Monday and chose to remain anonymous. All three plan to continue to work, they are committed to teaching and their kids. They will be smart with their winnings but also fulfill a few dreams, pay the bills, go on vacation, pay off the mortgage. The trio did get a good laugh last week when another Baltimore woman had claimed to have won, but then couldn't find her ticket.

Party cloudy tonight, cool, temperatures in the 50's through the evening with an overnight low of 40 in Philadelphia.
