Two Women Vandalize Brad Fox Memorial; Mitzpah Fire Company; Bad Things Happen in Philadelphia?

Police in Montgomery County are looking to identify two women that were caught on surveillance video vandalizing a memorial to a fallen police officer along the Schuylkill River Trail in Plymouth Township. The video shows two women riding bicycles stop at the memorial. One woman walks up and grabs a 'Thin Blue Line' flag planted there and then throws it the bushes. The memorial is for former Plymouth Township Officer Brad Fox. Fox was pursuing a suspect along the trail after a hit-and-run on Ridge Ave. when he was ambushed and shot in September 2012. The suspect, who was on felony parole, then shot himself. The gun used in the shooting was determined to be a straw purchase. The Brad Fox Law was signed in January 2013 which increased penalties on straw purchasers.

The Mizpah Volunteer Fire Company in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, has been shut down amid a criminal investigation. Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office investigators were seen at the company taking out evidence. The nature of the investigation has not been disclosed. The area covered by the company will be nearby firehouses.

During the first Presidential debate on Tuesday evening, 9/29, President Donald Trump was talking about election security and said, "Bad things happen in Philadelphia." What is he talking about? The President is referring to an incident that happened earlier Tuesday. 'Early voting' started in Philly today at six temporary satellite election offices and at City Hall. Voters can go to the office, register to vote, request a mail-in ballot, receive a print out, vote, place it in the envelopes, and return the ballot all in one trip. On Election Day, certified poll watchers from different parties are allowed on site inside polling places to observe. Today, a woman claiming to be a Trump poll watcher was denied entry to a satellite office at the Overbrook Elementary School in West Philadelphia. These offices are not technically polling places so poll watchers have no rights. Also, no poll watchers have been certified yet in Philadelphia. Only people with business in the office are allowed inside due to social distancing guidelines.
