President Donald Trump was in Philadelphia on Tuesday evening, 9/15, to participate in a town hall event sponsored by ABC News. It is being held at the National Constitution Center in Old City. You can expect road closures and SEPTA service outages in that area. There are also a number of planned demonstrations including supporters and protesters. George Stephanopoulos is anchoring the event. According to ABC, "The forum will provide uncommitted voters, the opportunity to ask the president their questions on issues affecting Americans from the coronavirus pandemic and economic recovery to protests for racial justice and climate change." It will be taped and air 9 -10:30 p.m. on 6ABC.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf responded sharply on Tuesday, 9/15, to a federal judge's ruling that determined that several of his coronavirus COVID-19 restrictions were unconstitutional. On Monday, 9/14, U.S. District Judge William Stickman IV in Pittsburgh ruled that stay-at-home orders, closures of 'non-essential' businesses, and limitations on sizes of both indoor and outdoor gatherings violated the Constitution. The Governor plans to seek a stay while his administration appeals the ruling. "I believe the vast majority of Pennsylvanians understand what we had to do in the beginning was necessary to buy the time to keep people safe before we got the capacity we needed to address this virus," Wolf said. "And the vast majority simply don't buy into the conspiracy theories or fear mongering from the president or from the Harrisburg Republicans about this virus."

"Yesterday, Harrisburg Republicans celebrated while thousands upon thousands in our state continue to suffer and even more worry about what this virus could bring to them and their families this fall. The president could do nothing more than stare at his cellphone and send out tweets, share messages of hate, messages of division, messages of disinformation," Wolf said. "They're celebrating a court ruling while refusing to help anybody but themselves. We in Pennsylvania deserve much, much better than that."
