The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association's Sports Advisory Task Force announced it's 'Return to Sports Plan' on Thursday, 8/20. Outdoor falls sports (football, cross country, field hockey, girls tennis, and soccer) will be able to start practice on 9/14. The girl's tennis season will begin 9/28. Cross country, field hockey, and soccer will begin 10/1. Football will begin 10/2. Indoor fall sports (gymnastics and girls volleyball) will be moved to a 'special season' that starts practice on February 16, 2021 with the season start March 3. The schedules for competition will be kept local, including post-season play. There will be no statewide championships. If circumstances change, the outdoor fall sports could be moved to the 'special season' next year. Winter sports start practice on 12/3 with the season starting on 12/21.

Drive-in entertainment options are expanding in Philadelphia. They have become popular as some of the only socially distanced ways to get out and enjoy a movie or concert. The Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation is turning the Mann Center for the Performing Arts into a drive-in movie theater for the next six weeks. Movies include: "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "The 40-Year-Old Version," "Miss Juneteenth," "Jurassic Park," "Trolls," "School of Rock," and "The Lion King." It starts this weekend showing "Be Water" from the BlackStar Film Festival.

Live Nation and the Philadelphia Phillies have partnered to present the "Live-in Drive-in Concert Series" held in the parking lot of Citizens Bank Park. Concertgoers pay per vehicle with up to 4 people max in each car. The artists will be performing LIVE on stage. You can tune in your car stereo to hear the music. You must remain in your vehicle to watch the show, unless using the restrooms or buying concessions. Masks must be worn when not inside your car. Performers include: The Front Bottoms, Mt. Joy, Subtronics, Jim Gaffigan, Smith & Myers, Lotus, and Dark Star Orchestra. The first concert is Friday, 8/21, with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.
