Good Friday and Passover, Wild Fires in NJ, Rick Santorum Daughter Bella Hospitalized

Today is both Good Friday for area Christians and the beginning of Passover for Jews, a weekend that is both highly religious but also mixed with some secular culture. Family is of course the center piece of the celebration. Whether it is at the seder meal or Easter dinner, we will gather around a table to share with our friends and family. If you are remembering the death and resurrection of Christ or the Exodus from Egypt, or perhaps just a visit from a rabbit, I do hope you enjoy your weekend, the weather is supposed to be rather nice.

National Weather Service has a Red Flag / Fire Weather Warning in place for most of our area. The combination of low humidity, lack of precipitation, and winds make conditions prime for wildfires. Firefighters in South Jersey have been contending with a number of blazes along the Atlantic City Expressway in Camden County Friday. One fire burned about 375 acres near Winslow Road. and another 25 acres off Piney Hallow Road in Winslow Township.

Rick Santorum's daughter Bella has been hospitalized once again. She spent time in the hospital earlier this year with pneumonia. The three-year-old has the rare genetic condition Edwards syndrome (Trisomy 18), that often is fatal. Santorum has said she wasn't expected to live past 1 year. The Santorums' have 6 older children. Rick Santorum is taking a few days off from the campaign for the Easter holiday.

In Sports, Flyers take on the Penguins in the season finale tomorrow at 4. The Atlantic Division rivals have drawn each other in the first round of the NHL playoffs starting next week. The Masters continues this weekend down at Augusta National. Phillies continue their series vs. the Pirates tomorrow.

This evening expect clear skies, becoming quite cool into the 40's, overnight low of 35 in philadelphia
