Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced a roll back on restrictions in the wake of a recent rise in coronavirus COVID-19 infections. The statewide mitigation efforts will affect bars, restaurants, night clubs, gyms, catered events, and other gatherings. Bars and nightclubs must shut down again, unless they also offer sit down dining. They can continue take-out alcohol sales if licensed. Restaurants must limit capacity to 25% (down from 50%). Indoor events are limited to 25 persons. Outdoor events are limited to 250 persons. "We're already at a tipping point where we really have to act. We don't want to become Florida. We don't want to become Texas. We don't want to become Arizona. We have got to act now," said Wolf.

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday, 7/15, that it has canceled fall sports for the 2020 season. The conference is made up of 18 universities mainly in the Pennsylvania state-run system. "The entire conference has worked hard these last few months to prepare for the return of sports to our campuses beginning this fall," PSAC Commissioner Steve Murray said in a news release. "However, it has become apparent that the safe conduct of sports under the guidelines of social distancing is untenable for our members." PSAC is working on guidelines for teams to continue individual skill instruction as well as strength and conditioning activities. They say are hoping to shift fall sports to the spring. A decision on winter and spring sports will be made at a later date.

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference comprised of 18 institutions in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The member institutions are Bloomsburg University, California University of Pennsylvania, Clarion University, East Stroudsburg University, Edinboro University, Gannon University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Kutztown University, Lock Haven University, Mansfield University, Mercyhurst University, Millersville University, The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Seton Hill University, Shepherd University, Shippensburg University, Slippery Rock University and West Chester University.

Camden's Adventure Aquarium reopened on Wednesday, 7/15, for the first time in four months. Wednesday and Thursday is reserved for aquarium members. It will open to the public on Friday, 7/17. Masks will be required and your temperature will be taken before you enter. Some attractions have been closed where social distancing is not possible. High touch point areas will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. In order to maintain attendance capacity you will make a reservation by time and date.
