Democratic candidate for president, Joe Biden, is expected to travel to Philadelphia on Tuesday, 6/2, to speak about the protests and violent unrest that has overrun the country. Tuesday is primary election day in the state of Pennsylvania. Biden is expected to speak about "the civil unrest facing communities across America." This will be his first appearance outside of Delaware, and only his fourth event outside of his home studio in Wilmington since the coronavirus COVID-19 crisis started in March. Biden met with African-American leaders on Monday, 6/1, in Wilmington. He vowed to address institutional racism in his first 100 days if elected.

SEPTA plans to resume all scheduled services when the citywide curfew is lifted at 6 a.m. Tuesday, 6/2. That includes bus, subway, and trolly routes in Center City that were suspended due to demonstrations.

Tuesday, June 2, is primary day in Pennsylvania. If you are planning on voting in-person, check your polling place. Locations have been consolidated due to coronavirus COVID-19 and your usual location may have changed. All drop-off mail-in ballots are due back at county offices by June 2 8 p.m. Allegheny, Erie, Montgomery, Dauphin, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties received an extension to count mail-in ballots through June 9. Ballots still have to be postmarked June 2. If you applied for a mail-in ballot, but have not yet received it, you can vote in-person using a provisional ballot.
