Philadelphia Police have identified the body of a women found in the basement of a South Philly home on Thursday evening, 1/16. It happened on the 2100 block of Porter Street in South Philly. The sheriff's department went to the residence to serve a robbery warrant on a female. The Special Victim's Unit also was on the scene investigating a case of human trafficking. The decomposing body of a woman was found inside a plastic storage bin in the basement of the residence. That woman has been positively identified as missing 18-year-old Erin Schweikert. Schweikert was last seen on September 27th on the 2300 block of South Lee Street about 2 miles from where she was found. The medical examiner says that there were no obvious signs of trauma. The cause and manner of death have yet to be determined. Earlier reports that the body was partially dismembered were incorrect. Five people were in the home when sheriff's officers arrived to serve the warrant. All five were taken in for questioning. No arrests have been made. Schweikert was the mother of a 3-year-old girl.

Police are looking for a man who punched a SEPTA bus driver in the face on New Year's Eve. It happened at 10:34 p.m. 12/31 on the Route 113 bus at Pembroke and Oak avenues in East Lansdowne. Video surveillance on the bus shows the man step on the bus and refuse to pay the fare. He begins to argue with the female driver about the fare. The man then abruptly punches the driver twice in the face and takes off running. He is last seen fleeing on Oak Avenue. The Citizens Crime Commission is offering $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. If you have any information, call 215-546-TIPS (8477).

A New Jersey groom who was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage waitress at his wedding reception has been sentenced to probation under a plea agreement. 32-year-old Matthew Aimers of Willingboro, Burlington County, pled guilty in a Bucks County courtroom on Thursday, 1/17, to indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, and simple assault. He was sentenced to 6 years probation. The more serious charges of indecent assault, imprisonment of a minor, and harassment were dropped. The plea deal was reached after close consultation with the victim. Authorities said that during his November 2018 wedding reception at the Northampton Valley Country Club in Richboro, PA, Aimers approached the waitress and asked her to "go outside and make out." He then followed her into a bathroom, exposed himself, and sexually assaulted her. She was able to break free.
