The Burlington County Prosecutor's office announced on Monday, 1/6, that the deaths of a couple in Burlington Township last week have been ruled a murder-suicide. 30-year-old Kristopher Corry and 28-year-old Tianna Drummond were found dead around 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, 1/2, inside of their apartment at the Willow Pointe Apartments on Salem Road. Investigators say that Corry beat Drummond to death before shooting himself. Police were called to the apartment after neighbors heard arguing.

Philadelphia authorities cleared a homeless encampment near 18th and Vine Street on Monday morning, 1/6. It started at 10 a.m. with workers removing tarps and tents and clearing any other makeshift living spaces. The city will store belongings for free for up to 60 days. The encampment residents had been given 30 days notice and received routine visits from outreach workers offering services and shelter. In that time, 14 people left the camp and were placed in shelters. On Monday, eight more still remained. Six of those people did go to a shelter. The other two walked away.

Police are looking for a driver after a fatal hit-and-run in North Philadelphia on Monday night, 1/6. It happened after 10 p.m. on the 2900 block of North Broad Street. Police say that a 36-year-old man was struck and killed while crossing the street. He suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. The car that hit him drove off. Police have not released the identity of the victim or a description of the fleeing vehicle. If you have any information call police at 215-686-TIPS.

UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 36-year-old Karon Underwood. The vehicle is described as a silver or gray SUV, possibly a newer model Hyundai with New York plates. Underwood was a father of five.
