Two men were killed and another critically wounded in a shoot out at a South Jersey motel on Thursday night, 1/2. It happened around 8 p.m. at the Salem Motor Lodge in Salem. Police responded to reports of gunfire. They discovered 28-year-old Isa Hallman in a room suffering from gun shot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police learned that two other victims had been taken to the hospital by private vehicle. 28-year-old Kapri Taylor was pronounced dead at the hospital. The third man was flown to Cooper Hospital in critical condition. Those two men were shot as they ran towards the room where Hallman was discovered. The shots came from behind a fence line next to the motel. All three men were staying at the lodge. On Wednesday night, there was gunfire exchanged through the door of another room at the same motel. One person suffered a wound to the hand. Police are investigating the shootings.

28-year-old Ossie Thomas of Mount Laurel was supposed to report to prison on Friday, 1/3, but now he is facing new charges. Thomas was sentenced last month to seven years for the fatal DWI crash that killed his one 4-year-old son and injured the boy's twin brother. It happened in January 2019 in Willingboro. Just after midnight on Friday, Police were called to the Rancocas Pointe development for reports of gunfire. They saw Thomas run from a car to a home. 22-year-old Walter Hannah and 20-year-old Amber Jones were still inside the car and were arrested for narcotics. Thomas appeared to be under the influence and resisted officers when they tried to place him under arrest. Witnesses said he fired the shots. No one was struck. A stolen gun and shell casing were found. Three officers were injured in the struggle. Thomas was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

A Delaware man was arrested on Monday, 12/30, after he surrendered to authorities. He is accused of attempting to poison a coworker by pouring Pine-Sol in their drink. 50-year-old Curtis Malloy allegedly poured the cleaning solution in a woman's beverage after an argument with her at work back on April 10, 2019. The business is located on the 300 block of Markus Court. She smelled the chemical and did not drink it. Malloy is charged with one count of adulteration, a felony.
