Gusty winds on Thanksgiving afternoon, 11/28, apparently blew over a wall in West Philadelphia, crushing several cars under a load of bricks. It happened around 12:30 p.m. on the 6000 block of Osage Avenue. Neighbors say is sounded like a 'boom.' At least three vehicles were buried under a pile of bricks and wood from the exterior wall of an abandoned garage. The Department of Licenses and Inspection was on scene to inspect the damage. No one was injured. Those same high winds grounded the balloons during the 100th Thanksgiving Day parade in Philadelphia.

A Walmart outside of Allentown in Lehigh County was evacuated on Thanksgiving afternoon, 11/28, due to a bomb threat as shoppers were preparing for Black Friday deals. It happened around 3 p.m. at the Walmart store at 2601 MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township. Police evacuated the parking lot and the bomb squad was called in to investigate. There was no threat found after searching the premises. It was all cleared by 5 p.m. and shopping activities continued.

The Coast Guard is searching for a missing kite surfer last seen off the coast of Ocean City on Thursday afternoon, 11/28. Authorities received a 911 call saying that a kite surfer was seen drifting out to see after falling off his board. It happened about 500 yards off Corson Inlet around 3:20 p.m. The surfer was wearing all black. The Coast Guard had helicopter and boat crews searching. If you have any information call the Coast Guard at 215-271-4960.

UPDATE: The missing kite surfer has called the Coast Guard and reported himself safe on Friday morning. 11/29, around 10 a.m. He told authorities that he cut away his kite because it was malfunctioning and paddled his way in to shore.

Sports
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz took to Instagram on Thanksgiving to give thanks for his family. Carson and his wife Madison also announced that they are expecting their first child. The caption read in part, "So much to be thankful for, but this might take the cake!" No word on a due date. See a photo below.
