Lower Moreland Woman Shot At Home; Man Shot 15 Times in Tacony; SEPTA Bus Hits Bicyclist

A woman was shot and killed inside her home in Lower Moreland, Montgomery County on Monday evening, 11/25. It happened around 5:30 p.m. on the 2300 block of Dale Road in Huntingdon Valley. Police found a women suffering from a gunshot wound and rushed her to Abington Hospital where she was pronounced dead. A suspect was taken into custody. "The homicide appears to be domestic in nature and a suspect has been taken into custody. There is no public safety concern at this time," said the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in a press release. The identities of the woman and the suspect have not been released.

A 24-year-old has died after being shot in Philadelphia's Tacony section on Monday night, 11/25. It happened around 7 p.m. 4500 block of Unruh Avenue near Jackson streets. The victim was hit 15 times throughout his body. He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where he died. No arrests have been made.

A bicyclist was injured in an accident with a SEPTA bus in the Lawncrest section on Monday evening, 11/25. It happened around 8:40 p.m. along Bustleton Avenue near East Comly Street in Philadelphia. The rider, a man in his 30s, was hit by the Route 14 bus. He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. He has a broken arm and a head injury. The cause is under investigation.
