Former Philadelphia Eagle great Ron Jaworksi has stepped in to help a South Jersey little league football team. The Millville Junior Thunderbolts had been invited by Snoop Dogg to play in the Snoop Youth Football League Nationals in California next month. However, the team was short on fundraising and wouldn't be able to make the trip. Jaworski donated $5,000 to the team so they can all go and compete against the best teams in the country Dec. 12 through the 15th. The Thunderbolts have succeeded this year despite tragedy. Their coach, Joseph Jones, was shot and killed in August 2018 following practice. "My foundation is there for opportunities like this, to help these kids that are sometimes overlooked, sometimes aren't given the opportunity, and someday they'll maybe do what I've done," Jaworski said.

Philadelphia Police have opened up a homicide investigation into the death of a 2-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in his Oxford Circle home on Tuesday afternoon, 11/12. Authorities responded to a home on the 5900 block of Shisler Street. The boy was found bleeding and unresponsive. Officers attempted to resuscitate the child at the scene and then brought him to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. He died later that evening. The medical examiner has ruled that the boy died from blunt force and that the manner of death is homicide. No arrests have been made. The investigation is underway.

Philadelphia Police are looking for two suspects in connection to a stabbing outside of a Wendy's in Center City on Thursday evening, 11/14. It happened around 7 p.m. on the 1500 block of Chestnut Street. The victim was found with a stab wound to the back in the entrance of Liberty Place at 16th and Chestnut. They were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police are looking for a man and a woman. No arrests have been made. If you have any information, call police at 215-686-TIPS.
