The Philadelphia Music Alliance inducted new members to the Philadelphia Walk of Fame on Tuesday, 10/22. This year's inductees include disco star Evelyn 'Champagne' King, 80s rockers The Hooters, The Philadelphia Orchestra, WMMR's Pierre Robert, 70s R&B group The O'Jays, CEO of UMG Jody Gerson, and philanthropist Dorrance 'Dodo' Hamilton. Robert also wins this year's Broadcaster award. The O'Jay's are recipients of the Philadelphia award. Hamilton posthumously is honored with the Humanitarian award.

A ceremony was held in the afternoon outside of the University of the Arts on South Broad Street. A bronze plaque honoring each inductee is placed in the sidewalk along the Avenue of the Arts along with over 100 other past members.

Later on Tuesday evening, the Walk of Fame Gala was held at the at the Bellevue Hotel with an array of special performances and guest appearances. The Philadelphia Music Alliance was founded in June 1986 as a community-based, not-for-profit organization. PMA serves to encourage the creation, celebration and historical preservation of Philadelphia music.
