Legendary singer and Philadelphia native Patti LaBelle will be recognized during the Wawa Welcome America Festival on July 2nd with a street renamed in her honor. A portion of Broad St and Spruce St along the Avenue of the Arts will be renamed Patti LaBelle Way. The ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NBC10. "We're excited to celebrate the indelible mark that Patti LaBelle has left on the City of Philadelphia, the performing arts community and future generations of artists that our City will produce with the street renaming in her honor," said Michael DelBene, CEO of Welcome America, Inc. "Patti LaBelle is a true trailblazer with a never fading passion for Philadelphia and its traditions and I'm humbled for us, as a City, to play a small part in commemorating her legacy, in such a lasting way."

Radnor Police have arrested a woman wanted for stealing jewelry from a Main Line store last month. The theft was caught on surveillance video. 45-year-old Anda Franc of King of Prussia was taken into custody after tips from the public helped identify her. It happened on May 11th at the Little House Shop in the Eagle Village Shops on Lancaster Avenue. The video showed her discretely taking two pieces of jewelry and fleeing in a Mercedes-Benz SUV.

Thieves in South Philadelphia have taken wheelchair ramps from the home of a disabled teenager. It happened sometime between noon and 3 p.m. on Thursday, 6/13, on Greenwich Street. 15-year-old son Dominic Dolan has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. Without the ramps, it is now very difficult to get in and out of his home. His father, Joe Dolan, believes the thieves sold the ramps for scrap. He has reported the theft to police. Dominic's brother Michael started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to get new ramps: https://www.gofundme.com/f/stolen-wheelchair-ramps
