A missing New Jersey girl who was a student at the University of South Carolina was found dead just a day after she was reported missing. 21-year-old Samantha Josephson from Robbinsville, NJ, was a senior political science major at the university located in Columbia, South Carolina. Police have arrested 24-year-old Nathaniel David Rowland and charged him with murder and kidnapping. Investigators believe that Josephson got into a black Chevy Impala driven by Rowland around around 2 a.m. Friday morning, 3/29, in the 5 Points neighborhood. They think she mistook the vehicle as her Uber ride while she was waiting outside a bar. Her roommate reported her missing around 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. Later Friday, hunters discovered her body in a wooded area in nearby Clarendon County. Police pulled over Rowland around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, 3/30. They found the victim's blood, her cell phone, bleach, and germicidal wipes inside the vehicle. Josephson had been accepted to the Kline School of Law at Drexel University. She was expected to return to the Philadelphia area after graduation to continue her studies.

A forest fire in Burlington County, New Jersey has grown to 5,000 acres. It was first reported at 2 p.m. Saturday, 3/30, in Washington Township. A 6 mile stretch of Route 72 has been shutdown as authorities try to get the fire under control. Voluntary evacuations are in effect for Chatsworth. The cause of the fire is under investigation. It did not begin as a controlled burn as reported.

A wild scene broke out inside a McDonald's restaurant in Atlantic City early Saturday morning, 3/30. It happened around 12:30 a.m. at the store on South Arkansas Ave. It apparently began with a few women fighting, but then escalated quickly. Part of the chaos was caught on video. The women got behind the counter, throwing objects, and yelling profanity. One woman got on the counter and could be seen pepper spraying security guards. Other customers looked on in shock. The women ran off when they heard the police were called. Police are investigating.
