Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced on Wednesday that no criminal charges will be pursued against Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam and Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy following an altercation outside a casino nightclub earlier this month. The incident happened around 2 a.m. on November 11th outside the Haven Night Club at the Golden Nugget casino. Although the two officials are not facing criminal charges, they still must face citizen's complaints filed against them by the three other individuals involved. That hearing will be in Municipal Court in North Wildwood on December 11th. Watch video of the confrontation.

A Montgomery County judge has denied former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane's motion to delay her sentence. Kane filed the motion on Wednesday morning, 11/28, asking for "a brief extension" to allow her to get her affairs in order. 52-year-old Kane has primary custody of her 16- and 17-year-old sons. The motion read, "Defendant requests a brief extension of the surrender date to allow her to solidify custodial arrangements for her sons with her ex-husband and/or family." On Tuesday, Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy ordered Kane to report to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility no later than Thursday at 9 a.m. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court declined to hear Kane's appeal on Monday triggering the Montgomery County DA to file a request to withdraw her bail and begin her 10-23 month jail sentence. Kane has been free on $75,000 bail since October 2016 when she was sentenced for perjury and other charges. The judge declined Kane's request for an extension and she is expected to surrender tomorrow at 9 a.m.

A Delaware County chiropractor is being charged after he was caught writing fraudulent prescriptions for opioid medications. 45-year-old Marc Persson of Swarthmore is charged with six counts of delivery and criminal attempt to deliver a controlled substance charges as well as forgery and other related offenses. The investigation began after an employee at his practice, Perssonal Health Chiropractor in Ridley Township, contacted Ridley Township police in May 2017. Chiropractors are not licensed doctors and cannot write prescriptions. Persson posed as a doctor when calling in prescriptions. He also forged paper prescriptions and doctors' signatures. He wrote prescription for Oxycodone, Xanax, and Gabapentin for six different patients.
