Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced at a 10 pm press conference on Wednesday night, 9/19, that authorities are searching for a suspect responsible for shootings at two locations earlier this evening. He identified 59-year-old Bruce Rogal of Glen Moore as the shooter. There is a massive manhunt being conducted. He is wanted for homicide and attempted homicide. Rogal received official notice today that his divorce was final and that the family house was awarded to his ex-wife. At 5:45 p.m., he drove by her home on Vermont Lane in West Goshen and shot at her six times as she was in the driveway. She was not hit, but some bullets hit neighboring homes. He then drove to the Bellingham Retirement Community at 1615 Boot Road in East Goshen Township. His parents, William and Nancy, who are both in their late 80's, lived in an apartment in the retirement community. Rogal shot and killed his parents before fleeing. He is believed to be driving a 2002 Silver Honda Odessey with PA plates ENN 3549. He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information or see the suspect, do not approach, call 911. East Goshen Elementary is being used as a staging area for officials.

UPDATE 9/20 1:25 a.m.: According to Chester County police scanners the suspect has been found and confirmed deceased.

Authorities conducted an extensive manhunt throughout Chester County including the West Chester, Goshen, and Downingtown areas. Dogs on the ground and helicopters in the air closed in on him. Rogal returned to his wife's home on Vermont Lane in West Goshen. He exchanged gunfire with police and crashed into a house.
