Woman Arrested At Pride Parade Lighting Flag; Flooding on I-76, Now Open; IHOP Announces New Name

A woman was arrested after attempting to set a flag on fire in a crowd at the Philly Pride parade on Sunday, 6/10. It happened near 12th and Locust just after noon. 18-year-old Ryan Segin of Woodbine, New Jersey was taken into custody by Philadelphia Police. She was charged with attempting to commit arson, causing/risking a catastrophe, recklessly endangering another person and related offenses. She was dressed in all black, with a hoodie, and bandana over her face. Segin tried to burn a 'thin blue line' American flag with black, white and blue stripes. The flag is representative of the sacrifice made by law enforcement officers. Segin is trans and goes by the name ReeAnna.

Heavy downpours overnight caused flash flooding across the area. One major roadway hit especially hard was the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76). The road was closed eastbound between the Blue Route (I-476) and Belmont Ave. for around 10 hours this morning starting around midnight. Drainage intake grates became covered with debris and the pipes got clogged. PennDOT crews had to manually pump the ponding water over to the westbound lanes, which closed one lane in that direction. The road reopened around 10 a.m.

After teasing a name change for almost a week, the International House of Pancakes or IHOP has revealed their new name after flipping the 'P' in Pancakes to a 'b'. The company has had customers guessing at what the 'b' in IHOb means. Breakfast, bacon, burrito, maybe beluga? They are now calling themselves the International House of Burgers! Yes, it's just a marketing scheme. They want you to know all about their new steak burger options and the fact there is lunch and dinner too. The 60-year-old company isn't really changing their name for good. They still have breakfast and all the pancakes you can eat. The Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity is safe.
