Malvern Gun Heist, Suspects Captured/Guns Recovered; Two Shot in Kensington; Man Shot Walking Dog

Police in Chester County have captured two men following a gun shop robbery and recovered two dozen weapons. The burglary happened at Chester County Outdoors on the unit block of Lancaster Ave in Malvern around 5:10 a.m. East Whiteland Township police captured the first suspect, but the second suspect was still on the loose when the school day started. Great Valley School District increased security measures at all its schools with an extra police presence and keeping students inside. The second suspect was caught around 10:40 a.m. Police recovered 24 weapons. School operations then returned to normal. The suspects have not been identified other than being 22 and 23-years-old.

A 51-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were found shot in Kensington this afternoon. It happened around 1:30 p.m. near Huntingdon Street and North Palethorp Street. The were each shot three times in the head. They were taken to Temple University Hospital in extremely critical condition. No arrests have been made and no weapon was recovered. The investigation is on going.

Philadelphia Police are searching for suspects after a Delaware County man was shot while walking his mother's dog in Northern Liberties on Monday night, 5/14. It happened around 10:30 p.m. at 7th and Wallace Streets. A 54-year-old man from Upper Darby was visiting his mother and took her dog out for a walk. He was approached by two men who shot him in the neck and chest. The man was found unresponsive on the sidewalk and taken to Hahnemann University Hospital. He remains in critical condition. Police believe that robbery was the motive. Investigators are reviewing surveillance cameras in the area. No arrests have been made.
