A Starbucks spokeswoman confirms that manager of Rittenhouse Square location who called police last week no longer works at the store. Protests continued today outside the coffee shop at 18th and Spruce in Center City Philadelphia. Demonstrators from various groups were waiting for the store to open at 7 a.m. and went inside. The location ultimately closed for the day. Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson is in Philadelphia and plans to meet with the two men who were arrested to apologize to them face to face.

Heavy rains overnight and Monday morning have created headaches for motorists trying to travel around the region. Localized flooding and ponding have made many roads impassable including large roads such as I-76. A Flash Flood Warning is still in effect for the region until 6:30 p.m. Area creeks are being pushed to the limit. If you come across a flooded roadway, do not try and pass it. It is not easy to tell how deep the water may be and only a small amount of water is needed to carry a vehicle away.

A female passenger was killed when the stolen car she was riding in crash into a parked car. It happened after 12 p.m. in the 3100 block of Ridge Avenue in the Strawberry Mansion section on Philadelphia. The woman was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later. The male driver was also taken to the hospital. He is in stable condition and is being held by police. An investigation into the crash in underway.

Weather
Tonight, Mostly Cloudy, temperatures in the upper 40s this evening in Center City
