Fire broke out at the former Inquirer building for the second day in a row. It started on the 400 block of North Broad Street near Callowhill around 8 a.m. Wednesday. Black smoke could be seen coming from the roof of the building which once housed the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. Area roads were closed as firefighters brought the fire under control by 8:40 a.m. There has been ongoing construction in the building. Philadelphia Media Network sold the building in 2011. The Philadelphia Police Department plans on moving its headquarters there in the next few years. No word on what caused the fires and if it is linked to the construction.

Philadelphia honored its own real-life heavy weight boxing champion today in North Philadelphia. Glenwood Ave at Broad Street was named "Smokin" Joe Frazier Boulevard near the location of his old gym. Frazier defeated Muhammad Ali in Madison Square Garden during the "Fight of the Century." He won a gold medal at the 1964 Olympics and was the undisputed heavyweight champion from 1970 to 1973. Frazier's professional record was 32-4-1. He died in Philadelphia in 2011.

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill has been receiving prison visits from big names recently. On Tuesday, Mill, aka Robert Rihmeek Williams, was visited by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. It was widely publicized that the Eagles listened to Meek Mill's music during practice and warmups leading up to their Super Bowl victory over the Patriots. Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin was also part of the visit. The two billionaires spoke out about criminal justice reform following the visit. On Wednesday, Mayor Jim Kenney went to visit the rapper in the Chester City prison. Mill is currently serving 2-4 years in prison for several probation violations. He has appealed that sentence and is also fighting for bail while the appeal is heard. The Philadelphia DA filed a motion last week saying that it is not opposed to bail.

Two stars of the Villanova national championship team have announced they will be forgoing their final year of NCAA eligibility and entering the NBA Draft this spring.
