Pitbull to Headline Wawa Welcomes America July 4th Concert; Woman Jumps From Fire; Deadly Accident

It has been announced that Grammy award-winning performer Pitbull will headline this year's Wawa Welcome America July 4th Concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Also known at Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull has made hits around the world. He is from Miami, FL, born to Cuban expatriates. Some of his biggest songs include "Give Me Everything" featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer; "Feel This Moment" featuring Christina Aguilera; "Timber" featuring Kesha; "Don't Stop the Party" featuring TJR; and "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)". Also performing will be Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Heather Headley and the Philly POPS BIG Band.

A woman jumped to escape a burning building Sunday morning in West Philadelphia. The fire started at 7 a.m. on North 50th Street near Market in the Cobbs Creek section. The woman jumped from the second floor. She was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in stable condition. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about an hour. There were no other injuries. No word on what caused the fire.

One person is dead and 4 others are injured after a multi-car crash on the Roosevelt Boulevard in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia. It happened just before 7 a.m. in the northbound lanes at Tyson Ave. Three vehicles were involved. Witnesses say that one car was speeding towards the intersection and couldn't avoid the other cars already there. A female passenger in a Nissan Rogue was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband was driving her to work. A 34-year-old man had a left leg fracture and a 62-year-old man had a head injury. They were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in stable condition. The other two injured were treated at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.

Sports
Former Villanova assistant coach Ashley Howard has been named LaSalle University men's basketball Head Coach. Howard played basketball at Monsignor Bonnor and Drexel University, and previously was assistant to former LaSalle head coach Dr. John Giannini. Howard also spent time as an assistant coach at Xavier.

Patrick Reed held off Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth to win his first Masters Championship.

The Philadelphia Flyers will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the Stanley Cups playoffs. Game 1 will be this Wednesday at 7pm in Pittsburgh.
