One Juror Seated in Cosby Trial; Villanova/Radnor Officials Prepare; 14yo Croydon Victim Dies

Jury selection started in the Cosby selection assault retrial on Monday in Norristown. After the first day, only 1 juror has been seated. That juror indicated that he had no knowledge of the case and would be impartial despite hearing about the #MeToo movement. Out of the 120 potential jurors in the panel, only 10 have not heard about the case and only 1 had not heard about the #MeToo movement. More than half had already formed an opinion about guilt or innocence. Selection will continue this week.

Villanova and Radnor officials are preparing for a possible celebration following tonight's NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Game between the Wildcats and Michican Wolverines. Starting in the second half, Lancaster Ave. will be closed between Spring Mill Road and Black Friar Road. SEPTA will continue normal service and make all stops on campus on the Regional Rail and High Speed Line. Taking a cue from Philadelphia Police, security has 'greased' light poles on campus to prevent students from climbing them. Extra police and Pennsylvania State Police mounted officers will be on hand.

A 14-year-old girl who was found shot and stabbed multiple times in her Bucks County home has died. She was pronounced dead on Monday morning at St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia. The girl was found on Friday night when her parents returned to their Sycamore Avenue home in Croydon, Bristol Township. Their 19-year-nephew was missing from the house. He was found later that night on State Road in Bensalem with self-inflicted gunshot wound to the throat. He remains hospitalized in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
