The spokesman for comedian Bill Cosby says that one of the entertainer's daughters has died. Andrew Wyatt confirmed Monday that 44-year-old Ensa Cosby passed away on Friday in Massachusetts. According the the family's statement she died of renal failure, which is kidney disease. Wyatt said, "Please keep the Cosby family in your prayers and give them peace at this time." Cosby's son Ennis was shot and killed in 1997 while he was being robbed in Los Angeles. The 80-year-old has three other daughters. Cosby's retrial is slated to start on April 2nd.

A Philadelphia high school student was taken into custody this morning after trying to bring a loaded hand gun into school. It happened around 7:30 a.m. at Samuel Fels High School on the 5500 block of Langdon Street in the Crescentville section of Northeast Philadelphia. The 15-year-old freshman student passed his backpack through the metal detectors and set off the alarms. School security officials searched the bag and found the weapon. Philadelphia Police put the school on lockdown until 8:22 a.m. to clear the school of threats. Police are investigating exactly where the gun came from and why the student brought it to school. No one was injured.

An off-duty female Philadelphia police officer and a man were found dead on Monday afternoon in a Port Richmond home. Police were called to the 2900 block of Mercer Street shortly after 12 p.m. They found the man and woman unresponsive. They were pronounced dead a short time later. This is still an early and active investigation. The cause of death has not been revealed nor the victims' identities. Apparently, officers responded to her home after she did not show up for her shift only to make the discovery. The two victims were acquaintances.
