Officials say that a man jumped out of a burning building to safety on Sunday in North Philadelphia. The incident happened on the 3300 block of North 15th Street at around 6:30 pm. Firefighters say that they arrived at the home to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. Officials say that the 33-year-old man who jumped from the home was taken to Temple University Hospital, so far there is no word on his condition. Emergency crews also treated others injured in the fire.

UPDATE: Philadelphia Police are investigating this fire as an arson. The house was a group home with 6 men living at the residence. The 33-year-old man who jumped is in stable condition. A 62-year-old man, a 39-year-old man, and a 34-year-old man all suffered smoke inhalation and are in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital. A23-year-old man, who suffered burns to his hand, a 49-year-old man, were taken to Temple University Hospital.

Not only are the Phillies adding new management to the team this year, the team will also be adding new protection to the stands of Citizens Bank Park. Officials at the Phillies are installing, raising, and extending nets behind the dugouts to improve the safety in the stands from foul balls and bats. The netting will be raised from the current 8 feet to 12 feet and will extend through sections 115 on the first base side and section 132 on the third base side. They will also be installing the same netting at the Phillies spring training facility at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Florida. Officials are also banning smoking entirely from Citizens Bank Park this year. In years past, there have been designated smoking areas behind the third base and left field gates. They will no longer exist for the 2018 season.

Philadelphia Police say that three homeless men were involved in an argument over a bag of cocaine when one of them pulled out a knife. The incident happened at the Greyhound bus terminal in Center City located on 10th and Filbert Streets at around 5:30 am on Sunday. Police say that the suspect armed with a knife stabbed one man in the chest and slashed another across the face. The suspect then ran off. The man with the chest wound is in critical, but stable, condition at Jefferson University Hospital. The other suspect is in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital. The stabbing suspect still remains at large.

The Sixers play the Bucks tonight at 8:00 pm.

Today, Cloudy skies with a high of 47 degrees in Center City.
