iRadioPhilly features free internet radio stations designed just for Philadelphia.

Enjoy your favorite music from the 50s and 60s on Bandstand. The radio station name, Bandstand is a tip of the cap to the old Philadelphia TV show from the 1950’s hosted by Dick Clark that went on to become American Bandstand.

In Philadelphia, Famous Oldies from the 50s and 60s means artists like Martha and the Vandellas and Chubby Checker who first became popular on Philadelphia radio before achieving national success. Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Motown, the Beach Boys and the early British Invasion bands like the Beatles and Rolling Stones are also part of the backbone of Bandstand.

Philadelphia radio listeners might find the 50’s and 60’s hits on Bandstand similar to playlists that were popular on Philadelphia AM radio station powerhouses of the 1950's and 1960's, “Famous 56” WFIL 560 AM and “Wibbage” WIBG 990 AM. Bandstand may bring back memories of WFIL Boss Jocks like George Michael, Jay Cook and Jim Nettleton - or Wibbage Good Guys, Dean Tyler, Hy Lit and Jerry Stevens.

There has been no major Philadelphia radio station devoted to the 50's and 60's oldies format since WOGL 98.1 FM dropped that era in favor of more recent hits from the 1980's and 1970's.

The music on each of the iRadioPhilly online radio stations is carefully selected based on Philadelphia listener tastes.

Each of the free, online radio stations at iRadioPhilly offers Philadelphia radio listeners more music variety, fewer interruptions and less repetition than Philadelphia AM and FM radio stations. Radio listeners can find new music and old music on internet radio. Whether a Philadelphia radio listener’s favorite music is Rock, Alternative, Country, Pop, Indie, Christian, Classic Rock, Oldies, R&B, Classical, Christmas songs, Jazz or Hip Hop, iRadioPhilly free internet radio stations offer more music choices.

Listeners can enjoy the iRadioPhilly internet radio stations on a computer or mobile devices. Free mobile apps for iPhone and Android mobile are available for free download in the iPhone App Store or the Android App Marketplace.
