Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a quadruple shooting sent four victims to the hospital. The shooting took place at around 9:35 pm on North 24th Street near Clifford Street. Police received calls about a shooting and shortly arrived on the scene to find one victim in a car on the way to Hahnemann University Hospital. Police took another victim to Temple University Hospital. A while later police were notified that two more victims arrived at Hahnemann with gunshot wounds to their legs.

Philadelphia Eagles officials have announced that the team will be wearing their midnight green jerseys while on the field for Super Bowl LII. The Eagles made the announcement on Tuesday accompanied by a video of the jerseys being stitched for the game. The Patriots announced that they will be wearing their white jerseys. Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick says they chose white because the team has a 3-0 record at the Super Bowl wearing their white jerseys. The Eagles are looking to put a dent in that record.

Philadelphia city officials have stated that they now want to become the first U.S. city to allow a supervised injection site as a way to combat the ongoing opioid crisis. Officials announced on Tuesday that they will seek outside operators to create one or more safe injection sites. Philadelphia's Public Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley stated that the sites could be "a life-saving strategy and a pathway to treatment." However, Pennsylvania's attorney general is not on board with the plan, stating "sanctioning a 'safe injection site' presents significant public safety concerns... and changes in state and federal law would need to occur for these sites to operate legally." Safe injection sites are described as a locations where people can shoot up under the supervision of a doctor who can administer an antidote if needed. The sites are also supposed to act as a pathway to treatment.
