Delaware Ice Jam Causes Flooding Near Trenton; Truck Crashes in Home; Eagles' Dog Masks Selling Out

An ice jam is causing minor flooding along the Delaware River near Trenton, NJ and Yardley, Bucks County in Pennsylvania. Recent warm temperatures and rain caused the frozen river to break up quickly and ice to flow down river. The river levels quickly rose to flood stage overnight Monday. Flood Warnings are in effect until Tuesday. Several area roads have been closed. Trenton Water Works has issued a boil water advisory for some customers.

A vehicle accident in Salem County, NJ sent a large flatbed tractor trailer crashing through the front of a house. It happened after 2:30 p.m. on the 300 block of Lincoln Road in Pilesgrove. The trailer and another vehicle crashed along Lincoln Road sending the trailer off the road. The trailer ended up crossing a large field before slamming through the front porch and into the outside wall of the home. An elderly couple was inside but were not harmed. The driver of the trailer and a passenger in the other car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Despite earning a first round bye, the #1 seed, and home field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs, the Philadelphia Eagles were a betting man's underdog in this past weekend's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Well, they proved the odds makers wrong by pulling out the victory. Going into this weekend's NFC Championship against the Minnesota Vikings, they are also about a 3 point underdog. The team has taken this designation in stride. Immediately following their win on Saturday, Lane Johnson and Chris Long donned rubber 'underdog' masks on the field and in the locker room during interviews. Philadelphia fans have jumped on that statement and have been gearing up for the next game. Amazon has already sold out of the same masks the players bought. Area costume shops are also trying to get them in stock. Good news is that you'll be able to bring that mask in to Lincoln Financial Stadium, just remember to take it off while you go through security.
