A missing man from Philadelphia with dementia has now been located. 66-year-old Edward Sojourner was found on Sunday after he had wandered off from the VA Medical Center on the 3900 block of Woodland Avenue. Officials say that the he left the medical center at around 10:40 pm on Saturday. Family and medical officials were worried due to Sojourner's condition as well as the freezing temperatures. He is now reportedly home and safe with his family.

Around 25 homes were subject to flooding after a water main broke in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia. The 8-inch water main broke at around 8 am on 900 block of Strahle Street near Verree Road. Some families woke up to around 4 feet of water in their basements. Fire and water crews arrived on the scene to help pump the water out of the basements. The water also ended up freezing, causing a sheet of ice to occur on the streets. Officials had to cut the water line to the homes and are now working on restoring the water back to the houses.

Many residents of an apartment complex in Yeadon, Delaware County were forced out in the cold during a fire. The fire happened at around 2:30 am at the Forest Creek Apartments on the 300 block of North Front Street on Sunday. Officials say that the fire broke out due to a transformer box shorting out, which was located on the front of one of the building. Crews quickly evacuated the building and had to cut off power to the complex. 84 apartments total had to be evacuate, many of the residents waited in their cars or stood outside in blankets to keep warm until SEPTA buses came to take them to Yeadon Borough Hall.

Weather

Today, Clear and frigid temperatures with a high of 20 degrees in Center City.
