Philadelphia Police are now investigating after four people were found lying in the road, all with gunshot wounds, as a result of a domestic dispute. Police found the victims on Thursday night at around 9:30 pm on the 6600 block of Dorel Street. Police arrived on the scene with reports of gunshots, which led them to the victims in the road. Police say the dispute started as a verbal argument between a couple, which then escalated into a physical altercation. That is when more people got involved. One of the victims started fighting with the boyfriend, which is what caused him to pull out his gun and open fire. The victims, who all range in age between 22-32, were taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, all in critical condition.

UPDATE: One of the shooting victims has died of his injuries.

The Philadelphia Carriage Company will soon hand over control of their horses to the City of Philadelphia. An agreement was reached on Thursday after an emergency motion for a preliminary injunction against the carriage company was held. The Animal Care and Control Team as well as the Department of Licenses and Inspections issued violations against the PCC in June because the conditions the horses were kept in were inhumane. Some of the horse's stables were dirty and had poor ventilation, some were found malnourished and lying in their own waste. Once the official agreement is signed, the horses will move to a care-taking facility that focuses in the rescue of draft and carriage horses.

A 4-month-old baby was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night after being attacked by a wild raccoon inside of the families home. The incident took place on the 2100 block of North 22nd Street in North Philadelphia. The 4-month-old baby Journi Blake Rodgers, was asleep on her parent's bed while her mother, Ashley Rodgers, was in the bathroom. Rodgers said she could hear a loud scream from her baby coming from the bedroom. When she rushed in, the raccoon had dragged Journi off the bed and halfway across the room. The baby was rushed to the hospital with face injures. She received 64 stiches during surgery as well as a rabies shot. She is now in fair condition. Animal control officers are still not sure how the raccoon got inside of the home.
