A fireball streaking across the sky was caught on the dashcam video of a New Jersey police officer on patrol overnight Thursday. Sgt. Michael Virga of the Hamilton Township (Atlantic County) police department was out in his patrol vehicle at 3:09 a.m. when his dashcam caught the rare event called a bolide, or a large meteor that explodes in the atmosphere. The American Meteor Society says it received over 120 reports of the fireball in 13 states including New York, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Washington, DC. It was primarily seen over eastern Pennsylvania.

District Attorney Tom Hogan announced on Thursday charges against two separate Chester County fathers in the deaths of their infant children. 41-year-old Jamal Bailey of Downingtown is charged with third-degree murder in the death of his 10-month-old daughter, Lynail Bailey. On April 26th, police were called to their home and Lynail was found unresponsive with green mucus from her nose and mouth. She died at the hospital. An autopsy revealed she died from quetiapine intoxication. Quetiapine, brand name Seroquel, is an anti-psycotic medication and is not approved for minors. Hair samples show she had been ingesting the medicine for at least 30-45 days. Jamal was prescribed the medicine for bipolar disorder. Authorities believe that Bailey was giving the medicine to his infant daughter to help her sleep, which is a known side effect of Seroquel.

27-year-old William Gardner of Coatesville is charged with third-degree murder and other related charges in the death of his 4-month-old son, Ayden Gardner. On December 7th, 2016, Ayden was found on a sofa in the Gardner's home blue and cold to the touch by West Brandywine Township police officers. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The boy had over 15 rib fractures, bruises on the spine and scalp, and brain trauma. Some of the injuries were new and some were as old as three months. Authorities say that Ayden was "was abused severely and consistently over at least three months."

A man and a woman were taken into custody after a barricade situation in Bristol, Bucks County on Thursday night. It started around 3pm on the 400 block of Pond Street near Dorrance Street. SWAT and Bristol Borough Police Department surrounded the home. The man, Nicholas Napoli, was wanted by U.S. Marshals on a parole violation. He is also a person of interest in a fatal hit and run earlier this week in Croydon. The hit and run happened on Monday around 7 a.m. on the 2900 block of State Road. A 46-year-old man was fatally struck. The suspect drove off the road and down a ditch before leaving the car and fleeing into the woods. This situation ended after 8:30 p.m. Napoli was taken into custody as well as a female who was also in the house.
