Former Philadelphia district attorney Seth Williams has been moved to a Midwest federal prison after a plea agreement with the government. Williams, who has been spending the last couple of months inside of a small Philadelphia prison cell, has been moved to a prison in Oklahoma City for now. He will later be moved to Morgantown, West Virginia to finish out the rest of his 5 year sentence. Williams was taken directly to jail back in October after he pled guilty to one bribery charge of a 29-count corruption indictment. The prison in Morgantown is around a 5 hour drive from Philadelphia. Williams is set to be released in November of 2021.

A student at Temple University has been hospitalized after being attacked on early Sunday morning. Police say the victim, Tanner Gerchak, was walking two female students home early on Sunday morning when he was attacked from behind at 17th and Norris Streets. The suspect attempted to start a fight with Gerchak. The suspect even grabbed him around his throat and threw him to the ground. After the altercation, Gerchak was rushed to Hahnemann Hospital where he is now recovering. Officials say that he suffered a busted ear drum, a severe concussion as well as fracturing the bone above his ear. The suspect is a high school senior at an Archdiocesan school. So far no charges have been filed.

Bucks County police are now searching for the driver who is wanted in connection with a fatal hit and run on Monday. The incident took place on the 2900 block of State Road in Croydon just after 7 a.m. Police say they arrived on the scene to find the car off the road in a ditch and the victim on the side of the road. The 46-year-old victim was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. He has been identified as James Aufschlag. The driver of the vehicle fled into a swampy area where they could not be found. Police have identified the owner of the vehicle, but they do not believe he was the one behind the wheel during the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bristol Township police.
