Officials in Delaware County are now investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Chester. The accident took place at around 8:30 pm on Wednesday on the Amtrak train tracks near Fifth and Kerlin Streets. Officials say that the suspect was hit and killed by an oncoming southbound train. The SEPTA's Wilmington-Newark line had to be shut down for a period of time to let officials investigate the scene.

Bucks County officials are now investigating after a fire rescue SUV crashed into a pole causing a fire to erupt in the car. The crash took place at around 5 pm on Wednesday right outside of the Croydon Fire Company on the 900 block of State Road. Neighbors say that they saw the SUV fly down the road and then hear a big crash. The crash caused the SUV to erupt in a ball of fire as well as snapping the utility pole in half. Witnesses say that the fire company looked like they were getting ready to head out on a call when the crash happened. Officials say that no one had to be taken to the hospital, but they are currently investigating on what caused the SUV to crash.

A suspect has now been placed into custody after a man was shot and killed during an argument near Drexel's campus on Tuesday night. Officials say that the victim, 21-year-old Merlos Mukaj, who is a foreign exchange student at Gloucester County Community College, was arguing with his 22-year-old girlfriend, who is a student at Drexel. Officials say the couple was having a heated argument. This is when the suspect in custody, 24-year-old Joseph Howanski, confronted Mukaj who began to walk away from his girlfriend. The two men began to argue, which then lead to an altercation between the two. This when Howanski backed up, pulled out a gun and shot the suspect three times in the chest. Drexel University campus police arrived minutes later and took the suspect into custody. Mukaj was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Howanski has now been charged with murder and other related offenses.
