Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a deadly triple shooting. The shooting took place on the 2000 block of 66th Street in Southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Police say that a 27-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed. A 26-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were also shot and are recovering at a local hospital. There is no word on a motive for the shooting as of yet.

With Black Friday upon us, local police are offering tips on how to stay safe during the craziness that may ensue while out shopping for the great deals. Police say a common mistake that happens is that people get in a rush to get to the store and leave their doors unlocked with items inside, which could lead to a robbery. Police stated that many criminals stake out and watch for people who make this mistake. Their words of advice are to make sure to be aware of your surroundings and take time to lock your car doors. Also make sure to try and hide your purchased items in your car so they are not visible.

The district attorney elect for Centre County, Bernie Cantorna, stated that he wants state prosecutors to take over the case of the Penn State fraternity that is accused of the crimes that led to the death of 19-year-old Tim Piazza. 26 members of the fraternity are all facing charges ranging from liquor-law violations to involuntary manslaughter. Piazza consumed dangerous amounts of alcohol a party held by now closed fraternity Beta Theta Pi, leading to Piazza falling down a flight of stairs which ultimately led to his death. Cantorna stated that he has a conflict of interest in the case but wants to ask the attorney general's office to assume protection of the case. The attorney general's office has stated that they will review Cantorna's request.
