New charges have been filed against members of a Penn State fraternity in the death of pledge Timothy Piazza after security footage from inside the fraternity house that had been deleted was recovered by investigators. The charges ranging from manslaughter to hazing. 12 new students have been charged. 5 of the 14 students previously charged are facing new charges. The house of the now closed Beta Theta Pi fraternity had an extensive security camera system. Investigators sent the system to the FBI for analysis. They were able to recover key video from the basement camera that had been manually deleted. Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller says it shows that Tim Piazza was given 18 drinks in 1 hour and 22 minutes and that he never once obtained his own alcohol. Investigators also know that the video was deleted from the system at the same time police were in the house.

A rally is scheduled in support of Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill on Monday afternoon. The Rally For Meek will take place at 5pm outside the Criminal Justice Center in Center City at 1301 Filbert Street. Meek Mill, aka Robert Williams, was recently sentenced to 2-4 years in prison triggered by probation violations. The probation stems from a drug and weapons conviction over 10 years ago. Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley says she has tried to help Mill out in the past with other violations but this is the final straw. Supporters believe the sentence is excessive and personal. Meek Mill has garnered the support of many entertainers, sports figures, and celebrities as well as the general public. Look for #rally4meek #freemeekmill #freemeek on social media.

Two armed robbers were caught early Monday morning after they stopped at a Lower Moreland Wawa to gas up during their getaway. It started around 1 a.m. at Wacky Zaki's bar at Veree and Red Lion Roads in the Bustleton section of Northeast Philadelphia. About a dozen friends were at the bar celebrating a birthday. A 41-year-old man went to use the restroom, which is in the basement, when he was attacked by two armed men. They took his wallet, cash, phone, and keys. They pointed the gun at the other patrons as they left the bar. Witnesses noted the license plate and the direction they fled. Philadelphia Police alerted Lower Moreland police of the white van. It was spotted only a short distance away at the Wawa at Red Lion and Philmont Road and the suspects were pumping gas. They were taken into custody and the items were returned to the victim. He suffered a head injury and was treated by paramedics at the scene. He is expected to be ok.
