A young child was hit by a school bus in Camden on Thursday. The incident took place just before 5 p.m. at Alabama and Fairview Streets. Police stated that the 6-year-old boy got off the school bus he was on and began to walk across the street when he was then hit by a bus going in the opposite direction. The boy was taken to Cooper University Hospital with severe injuries. He is said to be in stable condition.

Chance, a arson dog for the Philadelphia Fire Department, is now retiring after 6 years of service. The now 9-year-old black lab has been a vital member of the Arson and Explosives Task Force for the department. Fire officials have stated that Chance has detected accelerants at more than 600 fire scenes over his career. Officials say that a younger dog will be taking over Chances spot. He will enjoy his retirement living with his partner Lieutenant George Werez.

Philadelphia Police are searching for a man who is wanted in connection with the shooting of a 3-year-old in North Philadelphia last week. 24-year-old Sirwayne Dattes is wanted by police for violations of the Uniform Firearms Act and recklessly endangering another person. Police responded to reports of a juvenile who was shot on the 3600 block of N. 18th Street. When police arrived they found the 3-year-old with a gunshot wound to the forehead. He was then rushed to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Anyone with information is asked to contact Northwest Detectives (215-686-3353).
